These are our booking terms and conditions.

SURF COURSE BOOKINGS

We require a 20% deposit at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 7 days before the surf course start date.

CHANGES OR CANCELLATION POLICY SURF LESSONS

You can change (upon availability) or cancel your surf lessons until 48hrs before the planned lesson, by contacting our Protest Surfcenter by mail info@protestsurfcenter.com, or through phone or whatsapp +34/661644992 . If cancelled in due time you will get a voucher for your cancelled amount to use for future lessons or to consume in our Surf shop. If you cancelled up to 7 days before your arrival you can choose to get a voucher for the amount of your deposit for future visits, or to get a refund of your cancelled amount minus an administration cost of 30 euros plus bank transfer costs per reservation. In the case of cancellations less than 48 hours before the planned lesson the deposit is non-refundable.

BOOKINGS WITH ACCOMODATION

We require a 20% deposit at the time of booking with the remaining balance due 14 days before the arrival date. Guests must be 18 years+ to stay in our accommodations.

CANCELLATION POLICY ACCOMMODATION WITH OR WITHOUT SURF COURSE

You can change (upon availability) or cancel your reservation until 14 days before arrival, by contacting our Protest Surfcenter by mail info@protestsurfcenter.com, or through phone or whatsapp +34/661644992 . Protest Surfcenter will make every effort to arrange any changes requested after the booking has been confirmed, providing it is more than 14 days before the arrival date. Changes are subject to course and room availability.

In the case of cancellations more than 14 days before the arrival date the deposit is non-refundable. With cancellations from 14 days before arrival up to 5 days before arrival we will charge you 50% of the total amount. In the case of cancellations less than 5 days before arrival the whole amount is non-refundable.

SURF COURSE PARTICIPATION, LIABILITY AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The activity of surfing carries with it a degree of risk both to people and property, even if enjoyed under proper supervision by qualified instructors. It is also a strenuous activity that requires those taking part to have a reasonable standard of swimming and fitness. All participants must therefore make us aware of any medical conditions, illnesses or allergies they may have, and any prescribed medication they are taking on the booking form at the time of booking. No-one should participate if they have a medical condition such as for example being pregnant. It is down to the participant with a medical condition to check with his or hers Doctor to find out if surfing/surf fitness is within the customers physical and or mental parameters.

All course members must be able to swim at least 50 metres and must in no circumstances be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication at the time of the lesson which may adversely affect their physical abilities. All course members must agree to abide by all instructions and decisions that OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL and its instructors make in order to secure the safety and comfort of all participants. Course members will have the use of OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL equipment during their lessons. Whereas OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and good condition of that equipment, course members are responsible for immediately reporting any damage caused to the equipment whilst the equipment is in their possession.

OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL does not seek to limit or exclude any liability for personal injury or loss of life which may occur as a result of its own negligence or that of its employees. However, OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL assumes no liability in respect of any personal injury, loss, damage, consequential loss or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own or its employees. All other liability or conditions implied by law are excluded to the fullest extent possible.

RENTAL CONDITIONS AND LIABILITY

Surfing is an extreme sport that involves risk of injury or even death. Although OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL takes all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and good condition of the rental equipment, and will always recommend its clients some spots where it’s safe to practice, OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL assumes no liability in respect of any personal injury, loss, damage, consequential loss or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own or its employees. There is a risk of negligence by OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL including the failure to safeguard, protect and warn its clients of the risk, dangers and hazards of surfing. All other liability or conditions implied by law are excluded to the fullest extent possible.

Upon rental a deposit is set for the material rented. It’s the clients responsibility to check the rented material before leaving the OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL premises. Once outside all damage or other losses are responsibility of the client. When the material is damaged a fair price will be set by the OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL employees that covers the repair and eventual losses through not being able to rent the equipment during repair. If broken in half or in case of robbery the full deposit will be charged.

SURF CONDITIONS

In the rare event that OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL considers sea/weather conditions to be unsuitable for surf instruction, a credit voucher will be issued for future lessons or to consume in our surf shop. Credit for any lessons owed can be used within one year from the date of the cancelled lesson. Any lessons owed must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. No refunds are issued. Weather and surf conditions have no impact on rentals, all rental days must be paid whether surfed or not.

BROCHURE AND WEBSITE ACCURACY

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL brochure and website, it is intended only as a guide to the services it provides and OCEAN SPIRIT / PROTEST SURFSCHOOL is relieved of any liability due to any errors or omissions it may contain, or any minor discrepancies between the brochure or websites content and that service.
